After his postdoctoral training for two years at University of Notre Dame, USA, under the guidance of Prof. Shahriar Mobashery, he joined Tokyo University of Science, Japan. Since September 2019, He has been appointed as an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Life Sciences, Tohoku University, Japan, working with Prof. Minoru Ishikawa. Recent Activities I have been working on the methodology for chemical control of proteostasis (protein-homeostasis, e.g. degradation and folding). Recently, we have achieved the targeted protein degradation of proteins involved in neurodegenerative disorders mediated by small molecules harnessing a ubiquitin ligase (E3), an enzyme conjugating ubiquitin to substrates, and currently are making an effort to expand the scope of the compounds.
