In 20 years, the barriers between "Aquaculture" and "Agriculture" will disappear, new industries will be created by integrating primary industries, and the youth of the world will be active in them. Researchers are continuously taking data from the integrated system. Aquaponics SystemAquaponics is a technique that combines hydroponics and land-based aquaculture, and a container-type aquaponics facility has been established at the University of the Ryukyus in 2023. This facility will be used as a base for conducting research on aquaponics using seawater. Closed Recirculating Aquaculture System (ARK v1)ARK is a small land-based aquaculture facility with a closed circulation system that allows farmed fish to be raised without discharging water. Prior to the completion of the Okinawa model, a demonstration test of the closed-recirculation system using the ARK will be conducted.
