The Graduate School of Engineering aims to cultivate engineers and researchers who can contribute to the promotion of human welfare by acquiring a broad perspective, basic knowledge, and advanced expertise. Graduates will also have the ability to apply that knowledge and conduct education and research based on the basic science that supports the development of engineering technology meeting the needs of both today and tomorrow. Our objective is to nurture engineers and researchers who can play an active role in a wide range of fields, from local communities to the international community, and contribute to the welfare of humanity. The Graduate School of Engineering offers eight majors: Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Department of Constructional Engineering, Department of Applied Chemistry, Department of Computer Science, Department of Innovative Energy Science and Engineering, Department of Robotic Science and Technology, and Department of Astronautics and Aeronautics. In the Master’s course, we train advanced engineers who can serve as project leaders in technology and research and development, and who maintain and develop engineering techniques and basic academic principles. The Doctoral course aims to foster engineers, researchers, and educators who have the ability to creatively develop new engineering technologies and their basic science.
