Is it mandatory to stay there? All PEAK students have the option of living in UTokyo Accommodation for their first year of study. The accommodation assignment is subject to change, based on availability. The dormitory is optional and you can choose whether you move into the dormitory or not during the enrollment procedure. However, if you did not move into the dormitory when you started your university course, it would be deemed that you have waived your right to a room.
