The Housing Office’s aim is to provide high-quality accommodation at affordable prices. The Office currently operates dormitories and other accommodations for international students and researchers in the Mejirodai, Oiwake, Komaba and Kashiwa areas. Additional roles of the Office are to maintain the accommodation facilities and provide support to residents so they can live safely and comfortably. In addition, the Housing Office offers both long- and short-term accommodation facilities for overseas students and researchers that can be applied to through the University of Tokyo. Information on rentable accommodations via private agencies also is available on the Office’s website. For more information on the Housing Office and accommodations offered, please visit the pages below. Also, if you are interested in renting an apartment yourself, you may request UTokyo to act as your “guarantor” if you meet the requirements. Please visit the University Guarantor System page for more details.
